Oral pathology
Oral pathology is the study of diseases that affect the maxillofacial and oral regions. The diagnosis and investigation of infections affecting the mouth are the focus of the specialism of oral pathology. The decision to proceed with a biopsy is made when the results of the pre-clinical tests are unsatisfactory. A sample of living tissue is removed for testing during the meticulous biopsy procedure. A biopsy might be of three different kinds. A number of factors, including intrinsic, acquired, and environmental influences, can result in oral sickness.
