Biocompatible dental materials include metals, polymers, chemical resins, and engineered materials, all of which are readily absorbed by the patient's host body and have no adverse effects. These materials can perform tasks that are comparable to those of real teeth. Saps and gums used to fill holes are made from dimethacrylate, silicon dioxide, amalgam, and other materials.
